Iran Potk Industrial Group was established in 1984 with the aim of making the country's toolmakers self-sufficient and reducing the need for imported tools. However, due to the imposed war and the lack of necessary foreign exchange, the procurement and import of required machinery and equipment from abroad were postponed until 1990. This group entered the pilot production phase in 1995 and has since continuously expanded the variety and volume of its products. Currently, it offers over 1,100 sizes and types of tools in 13 specialized groups, primarily produced through forging (hot forging), which can be used in industrial, household, and service applications.

All Iran Potk products are manufactured in accordance with the Iranian National Standard. 13 Iran Potk products have obtained standard licenses. Of these, 7 products have mandatory licenses and 5 have voluntary licenses. Products with mandatory licenses include: pincer, locking pliers, bench vise, bolt cutter, pipe wrench american pattern, file, and adjustable wrench. Products with voluntary licenses include: chisel and punch, hammer, light and heavy hammer, and pipe wrench 90°.

The Iran Potk Company's specialized tool testing center, metallurgy laboratory, and calibration laboratory was designed and established in 2006 within the Iran Potk factory, with an independent quality management system. It was equipped with the most advanced devices to enhance the quality of manufactured products, provide laboratory services to manufacturers, and contribute to the country's industry. In 2011, the laboratory successfully obtained a certificate of competency from the National Standards Organization of Iran.
